Gossip Girl is All About the ‘XOXO’

Gossip Girl is never short of couples shacking up, breaking up, and making up. You never know if couples at the beginning of the season will make it past the first half hour of the episode. The writers totally keep us GG fans guessing.

Here are my top 3 couples of season 3.

(3) Serena & Nate

Nate and Serena in Gossip Girl

Of all the guys Serena was linked with this season — Carter, Tripp, Damien — her relationship with Nate was my favorite. Nate really cares about her. In episode 12 (The Debarted) he rushed to her rescue after her affair with his cousin Tripp turned sour. I hope these two find their way back together in season 4.

(2) Blair & Chuck

Blair and Chuck in Gossip Girl

Blair loves Chuck. Chuck loves Blair. Just watch this clip of them at the beginning of season 3.

Unfortunately something always happens when these two get together to break them up. One of the major reasons for their breakup this season took place in episode 17 (Inglourious Bassterds) when Blair felt betrayed by Chuck after trying to save his hotel by making a deal with his Uncle Jack. Let’s try again next year.

(1) Dorota & Vanya

Dorota and Vanya's wedding

I heart Dorota! She’s such a scene-stealer. She finally got her own storyline this season. Vanya proposed in episode 17 (Inglorious Bassterds). One episode later (The Unblairable Lightness of Being) Dorota became a married woman. Then to top it all off, she had a baby in the finale! What a great way to end her storyline this season!

Do you like these Gossip Girl couples too, or is there another GG couple you can’t get enough of?

I have been hired by Warner Bros WBWord division to raise awareness for Gossip Girl: The Complete Third Season – which arrives on Blu-ray/DVD on August 24. Pre-order your copy, and watch highlights from Season 3 here: http://bit.ly/cx8nDx!

Shari Baldie
Shari Baldie

Meet Shari Baldie, GRAE New York's Resident Girl About Town. In 2009 Shari created GRAE New York out of spring break boredom. Finding inspiration in everything from music and style to art and culture, GRAE New York is a digital magazine of her lifestyle and influences. When she’s not writing or being a girl about town, Shari spends her time (unsuccessfully) convincing native New Yorkers that her Westchester hometown is not “upstate." It’s an ongoing battle.
