GRAE Day 2023

Happy GRAE Day! Hard to believe it’s been 14 years since the launch of GRAE New York. I just wanted a place to share all my interests in entertainment, pop culture, and NYC life. Who knew that would lead to building a platform, interviewing creatives, and partnering with brands.

To celebrate our 14th year, I put together our annual GRAE Day playlist. These 30 tracks have been on repeat! There’s something for every mood. Catch a vibe on Apple Music and Spotify

The playlist highlights artists we can’t wait to see more from this year. We hope to introduce you to newer artists like Saint Levant, Kayla Rae, and Baby Rose as well as GRAE faves like Tinashe, Major Lazer,  and Lana Del Rey.

You may be wondering why there’s an elephant on the playlist cover. Ivory was traditionally a 14th anniversary gift. Since that’s not a thing anymore thanks to conservation efforts, we opted to feature our elephant friend from the Bronx Zoo

Thank you to our VIPs  for rocking with us through the years and those just discovering us. There’s more content coming soon so keep it locked.

Shari Baldie

Meet Shari Baldie, GRAE New York's Resident Girl About Town. In 2009 Shari created GRAE New York out of spring break boredom. Finding inspiration in everything from music and style to art and culture, GRAE New York is a digital magazine of her lifestyle and influences. When she’s not writing or being a girl about town, Shari spends her time (unsuccessfully) convincing native New Yorkers that her Westchester hometown is not “upstate." It’s an ongoing battle.
