Jamie Cullum Doesn’t Stop the Music

Singer Jamie Cullum

Give Michael Bublé a piano, a raspy British voice, and bedhead locks and you get Jamie Cullum. I just heard his amazing cover of Rihanna‘s Please Don’t Stop the Music, and I’m obsessed. I love the original, but the cover’s a bit sexier and sultry, yet powerful.

I’ve known about Jamie for ages. When I saw him featured on the Vevo homepage I felt like I was in on something cool way before it became mainstream. Don’t you love that feeling?

If you’re a fan of James Morrison, Harry Connick, Jr. or Rufus Wainwright, you’ll love Jamie Cullum. Here are some of my favorite tracks to get you started.

Shari Baldie
Shari Baldie

Meet Shari Baldie, GRAE New York's Resident Girl About Town. In 2009 Shari created GRAE New York out of spring break boredom. Finding inspiration in everything from music and style to art and culture, GRAE New York is a digital magazine of her lifestyle and influences. When she’s not writing or being a girl about town, Shari spends her time (unsuccessfully) convincing native New Yorkers that her Westchester hometown is not “upstate." It’s an ongoing battle.
